MONOTERPENES
Monoterpenes are non-nutritive components found in the essential oils of citrus fruits and other plants. A number of these dietary monoterpenes have anti-tumour activity. For example, d-limonene, which comprises .90% of orange peel oil, has chemo-preventative activity against rodent mammary, skin, liver, lung and fore-stomach cancers.
Treating Acid Environments
There are several varieties of bacteria that thrive in acid environments. These include Bifidus (mother's milk bacteria)Â and Acidophilus (healthy intestinal bacteria).These are helpful treatments for certain, vaginal disorders, and as treatments in skin care.
For instance, yogurt can be thinned with water, certain essential oils added (such as Tea Tree), and a cleansing "skin milk" and vagina douche is the result.....
